Did a lot this year🤍

#my2024 #2024recap #lemon8contest

I over came a lot of challenges. However, a few stick out to me.

🩷I overcame being afraid to wear shorts

🩷I stopped hiding my insecurities behind makeup and filters

🩷I overcame year 3 in college as a 42 year old with a 4.0 gpa

🩷I overcame a broken ankle chasing 2 kids 2&3 years old

🩷I overcame 70 lbs.

It was all hard, but I OVERCAME it. Showing myself that I am stronger than whatever is thrown at me. Can’t wait to see what #2025 has in store for me

... Read moreIn 2023, I faced numerous challenges that tested my resolve and strength. Overcoming my fear of wearing shorts was a significant milestone, as was learning to embrace my natural self without relying on makeup and filters. Each hurdle taught me a valuable lesson about self-acceptance and resilience. Academically, returning to college as a 42-year-old with a family was daunting, yet I persevered and maintained a 4.0 GPA during my third year. This achievement reinforced my belief that age should not define one's capacity to learn and grow. Additionally, recovering from a broken ankle while being a mom to two young children was another test of my patience and determination. Lastly, a personal journey of weight loss helped me realize the importance of health, not just in terms of appearance but in feeling strong and capable. Each step I took was a step towards empowerment. As I anticipate what 2025 holds, I carry with me the lessons learned in 2023: that strength comes from overcoming adversity, and every challenge faced is a building block for future successes.
