3D2N in Paris Itinerary

💡On taking the metro in Paris, download the ‘Bonjour RATP’ app. You can view the metro map, check for directions, and also purchase tickets on the app. If you’re planning to head to lots of places in a day that are not situated close by each other, the ‘Navigo 1-day pass’ at 12 euros would be a good option and it helps you to save a lot as a one-way trip already costs $2.50 euros. If you’re going to probably 4 stations or less in a day, best to get the one-way metro-train ticket for 2.50 instead.

If you’re taking the train from the airport, i personally recommend taking BOLT instead 🚕 Because most stations in Paris do not have escalators/lifts & there are lots of staircases, don’t recommend if you have lots of luggages or heavy ones. The airport train fare also costs $13 euros (~$19.50 SGD). So if you’re travelling with 3 or more people, it’ll be more worth it to take the cab instead.

✈️ paid $1,099 SGD for round trip tickets via Singapore Airlines. There was an SQ sale so i got the flight tickets at a steal!

DAY 1:

Montmartre (🚆 station: Anvers). You can either walk up to the basilica or take the funicular which costs $2.50 euros.

🚶 walk 5mins to a village plaza called Place du Tertre. Lots of restaurants & souvenir shops!

Petit Palais (🚆 station: Champs-Elysees-Clemenceau, 3mins walk 🚶‍♀️). Opposite the museum is, the Grand Palais but it cost $ for entry).

🚶just a 5mins walk from both museums is, Pont Alexandre III (i went in oct so the autumn leaves were so beautiful! 🍂🍁😍)

DAY 2:

Place des Vosges (🚆 station: Chemin Vert).

It was just a really small garden with nothing much to do or see actually. Unless if you’re coming in spring/autumn, i don’t really recommend making a visit down.

Luxembourg gardens. (🚆 station: Luxembourg)

I love this garden so much! So much things to do and see here because it’s so so spacious. A lot of chairs around so you don’t have to worry about staying too long. I could even spend the whole day here just chilling with a book in hand.

📍Seine River Cruise 🚢 (🚆 station: Alma-Marceau)

Bought the cruise ticket on Agoda for only $12 SGD and it was so so worth it because it was an hour long ride with a open-top cruise view & you get to see so many gorgeous sights from the cruise.

DAY 3:

📍Notre Dame Cathedral (🚆 station: Cite)

📍Louvre museum (🚆 station: Palais Royal - Musee du Louvre). Didn’t go in, just snap photos outside.

📍Arc De Triomphe (🚆 station: Charles de Gaulle - Etoile).

🚶‍♀️ Walk 10mins to the Av. des Champs-Élysées shopping street. A shopping street filled with luxury boutiques.

📍Galeries Lafayette (🚆 station: Auber). It’s also a shopping mall filled with luxury boutiques and local Parisian brands. Right at the top is the terrace and is open to public, head up there and get a view of the Eiffel tower. 😍

next post, amsterdam & london!

... Read moreIf you’re visiting Paris for just three days, planning your itinerary carefully is key to making the most of your trip. Besides the main attractions covered in the original itinerary, here are some additional tips and experiences that might enrich your visit: 1. Food & Cafés: Paris is famous for its food, so try to stop by local boulangeries to enjoy fresh croissants or pain au chocolat in the morning. On Day 1 near Montmartre, the Place du Tertre has quaint cafes where you can try traditional French dishes. For an authentic experience, reserve a table at a classic Parisian bistro for dinner. 2. Nighttime Views: Consider scheduling some evening activities. The Eiffel Tower sparkles every hour after sunset for about five minutes and it’s a magical sight. Viewing it at night from Trocadéro is unforgettable, and you can also enjoy this from the rooftop terrace at Galeries Lafayette mentioned in the article. 3. Museum Passes & Entry Tips: If you want to enter major museums like the Louvre or the Grand Palais, look into purchasing a Paris Museum Pass. It can save time by bypassing ticket lines. Planning your visits early in the day helps avoid peak crowds. 4. Metro Etiquette: While using the metro system, remember to validate your tickets before boarding. Keep your belongings secure as metros can be crowded. The ‘Bonjour RATP’ app not only helps with navigation but also alerts you of any service disruptions. 5. Alternative Transport: If walking long distances isn’t appealing, Paris also offers electric scooter rentals, which can be a fun way to explore neighborhoods like Le Marais or along the Seine. 6. Seasonal Tips: Visiting parks like Luxembourg Gardens or Place des Vosges can be especially beautiful during spring and autumn, as the author mentions. Consider timing your visit to experience these seasonal colors. These extra suggestions can help you create a fuller experience while still following a practical itinerary and making the best use of your limited time in Paris.
