Yesterday was totally one for the books!! I'm going to college 😆!! Yes I know I'm 25 and yes I know I'm a mom, that all makes it more exciting. Of course I'm afraid of the future and what it'll bring but I'm different now, I'm not running back to "comfortable" I'm facing that bully head on! My life is about to change for the better. This is great, first my license and now this.
Oh I bet you're wondering why at my old age I've decided to go now and after taking on so much responsibility.... well the truth is (long story short) I was excited to go after high school except my parents and I didn't see eye to eye if you know what I mean. They were very much "my way or the highway" type of people. I wanted to figure out things on my own, I picked a school that was far but not too far that I'd feel alone but it was still "too far" for them. You can say they were only looking out for my best interest but that's not ENTIRELY true. They also let personal issues they had with each other block their better judgement and they refused to provide me with the information I needed to complete FAFSA to complete the journey. Over the next couple of years a lot happened (I gained some responserbilleries) I kept convincing myself I didn't need to go.
Recently I felt like something was missing and that I needed to do something for myself because I truly wanted to not because others thought I should. AHHHHHHHHHH diary, I'm a college student 🥴😊🥹
I really feel like this is the first step to becoming who I was always meant to be. I can taste freedom and limitless possibilities 🤍
