Art God Series part 67
Footage from my inktober that I never posted till now.
Participating in Inktober last year was a powerful catalyst for my artistic growth. Though I didn’t complete all 31 days, the sketches I created during that period have since become a rich source of inspiration and learning for me. This footage shows some of my favorite unfinished pieces, captured from different angles to reveal the nuances of the drawing process. What struck me most throughout the challenge was how shifting camera perspectives helped me identify subtle details I could enhance, especially in portraits. During moments when my camera died or angles switched, I realized that imperfect conditions often prompted me to keep pushing forward without seeking perfection, which is a valuable lesson for any artist. If you’re considering joining an art challenge like Inktober, my advice is to embrace unfinished pieces and view them as part of your artistic journey rather than failures. Each sketch, even if incomplete, contains vital practice in anatomy, shading, and expression. The hashtags #artstudy, #portrait, and #sketchchallenge can connect you with a community of artists who share and support each other’s work, fostering growth and motivation. Looking back at these older videos and drawings, I appreciate how they document not just the art created but also my mindset shifts during that time. I hope sharing these insights encourages others to explore art challenges, use setbacks as learning moments, and ultimately evolve their skills through consistent practice and reflection.
