I'm constantly trying to improve my art style, and these two characters, with their captivating dynamic, are the perfect muses! I mean, who doesn't love Maomao's sharp wit and Jinshi's charming mischief? The series' art style itself is a huge inspiration, especially how it captures their unique expressions – from Jinshi's dazzling smiles to Maomao's perfectly annoyed glares. The way the animators handle subtle facial movements and detailed period clothing is just phenomenal, making every frame a visual treat. Their interactions are truly the heart of the show. From the moment Jinshi first 'finds' Maomao in the pleasure district, you know you're in for a treat. I'm always rewatching episodes to catch those subtle cues and the progression of their relationship. Jinshi's persistent attempts to get a reaction out of Maomao, often calling her 'kitty witty,' perfectly sums up their playful, almost cat-and-mouse game. It’s no wonder the 'eunuch cat meme' became a thing, because she really does embody that observant, slightly aloof, yet incredibly clever spirit, much like a clever brown tabby cat watching the world. I even tried to capture that 'Gotcha kitty witty' vibe in my sketches, you know, when he's just being extra and she's trying to hide her amusement. Beyond their adorable banter, their character depths are amazing. Jinshi, often seen as just a pretty face, is actually a master manipulator with layers of responsibility and hidden motives. If I had to guess his MBTI, I'd say he leans towards an ENFJ, using his charm for influence, but with a strategic mind. He's incredibly aware of his surroundings and people's feelings, even if he sometimes uses that knowledge for his own playful schemes. Maomao, on the other hand, feels like a quintessential INTJ – brilliant, analytical, and completely unfazed by superficiality. She's driven by logic and curiosity, often missing social cues but incredibly perceptive in her own way. Their contrasting personalities make every scene they share a delight, whether they're solving a complex mystery or just having a simple exchange, often resulting in Maomao's exasperated 'sybau' (a sound of mild annoyance).
