Fluffy Dinner Rolls ✨

ingredients:

• 2 1/4 tsp yeast

• 6 tsp sugar

• 1 cup warm milk

• 1/2 cup warm water

• 1/4 cup salted butter, melted

• One large egg

• 3 1/2 to 4 cups bread flour

• 1 1/2 tsp salt

• 2-3 Tbsp softened butterhese soft and

• 1 egg plus tbsp water for egg washour life

Melted butter to brush over top, flaky salt

Directions:

• Combine the yeast, sugar, milk and water in a bowl. Mix and set aside for five minutes or until the yeast has bloomed.

• Add in the butter and egg. Mix well.

In the bowl of a stand mixer, or large bowl if kneading by hand, add 1 1/2 cups flour, salt and the yeast mixture.

• Mix for a couple of minutes, the dough will be very wet. Add in 1 cup of flour and mix until combined.

The dough will still be quite wet.

• Add in another half cup of flour, mix.

• Continue to add flour 1/4 cup at a time,

*as needed*

Once the dough starts to come together, is not too wet or sticky, stop adding flour. Watch the video to see what we're going for.

Note:1 added flour 4 times for a total of 4 cups.

Add in one tbsp of softened butter,knead for 2-3 min.

Move the dough onto & flour dusted surface and begin to khead.

Stretching the dough out and pulling back into the center (see video).

After about five minutes, add another Tbsp of butter. This will help the dough become smooth as opposed to sticky.

Knead for another five minutes.

If the dough is still sticking to your fingers,continue to knead. Add another tbsp of butter if required. I used 2 total.

Cover & rise in a greased bowl for 1 hour.

Pinch down & divide into 12 balls. Place into a greased cast iron or baking dish.

Cover & let rise for 30min.

Preheat oven to 375F. Brush buns with egg wash. Bake for 20-25 min until golden. Brush with butter, sprinkle with salt.
