I added diced potatoes with my meal. I baked it with the chicken and fried them in the skillet as well. It was delicious!
... Read moreIn my experience, ensuring the chicken is diced into uniform pieces really helps it cook evenly and quickly, which is key when baking and grilling. Preheating the oven to 425°F sets the perfect high heat to lock in juices while developing a nice texture. I found that coating the chicken immediately after cleaning with salt helps enhance its flavor and tenderness throughout the cooking process.
Using a blend of seasonings, including paprika, garlic powder, and Goya adobo, brings a depth of flavor that complements the butter chicken sauce beautifully. The addition of poultry seasoning and cubito en polvo (chicken bouillon powder) adds an authentic and savory note.
For the yellow rice, starting with olive oil and butter helps create a rich base. Adding the seasonings gradually while introducing just a splash of water allows the rice to absorb the flavors well before adding the cooking water. It's important to add about an inch of water to avoid rice that’s too hard or mushy, resulting in a perfect fluffy texture.
Incorporating sofrito and turmeric into the rice elevates the aroma and color, making it visually appealing and delicious. I also highly recommend using fresh parsley and garlic powder to keep the flavors lively.
After grilling the chicken, mixing it with the Burmans Butter Chicken Sauce, heavy cream, pepper, and parsley flakes creates a creamy and indulgent sauce that binds the dish together.
To add more substance to the meal, I baked diced potatoes alongside the chicken, then fried them in a skillet to get a crispy outside and tender inside, which added a satisfying contrast in texture and made the meal feel complete.
Overall, this recipe balances convenience and flavor, making it perfect for a weeknight dinner or casual get-together. Experiment with the seasoning proportions to suit your taste and enjoy a restaurant-style butter chicken experience at home!
