This is my 3rd day of traveling/out of town, and my Kindle has been keeping me going. I will also be traveling elsewhere next week 🥴
My Kindle paperwhite was delivered a couple weeks ago. I read 2 books very quickly on the Kindle, 1 book in 1 day, and was immediately hooked.
I decided to read Iron Flame on Kindle, instead of physical (even though I already have the physical book) because the font size was so tiny that I was going cross-eyed. The Kindle makes it a much easier read. Iron Flame is good so far, I'm about 25% through.
I got my popsocket from an Etsy shop that does resin popsockets. It's adorable. I will tag the shop in a different post!
I will say that I got a little motion sick on the plane while reading... but airplanes usually don't agree with my stomach anyway.

Like many avid readers, I adore physical books, but some, particularly lengthy fantasy novels with intricate world-building and smaller fonts, can be a challenge. That's where my Kindle Paperwhite truly shines.
For a book like *Iron Flame*, which is captivating but has a traditionally dense layout in print, the ability to adjust the font size to my exact comfort level is invaluable. No more squinting or straining my eyes, even after hours of immersive reading. The crisp, glare-free screen of the Kindle Paperwhite mimics real paper so well that it reduces eye fatigue significantly, making those long travel days fly by. I've found myself getting through chapters much faster and enjoying the story more deeply because I'm not distracted by discomfort.
Beyond just the text, the portability of the Kindle Paperwhite is a massive advantage. I can carry an entire library in my bag without adding any significant weight. This was a huge plus for me, especially since I've been traveling a lot lately. Instead of choosing just one physical book to lug around, I have access to Iron Flame and countless other titles. The long battery life also means I don’t have to constantly worry about charging, which is perfect for flights or road trips where outlets might be scarce.
And let's not forget the little touches that enhance the experience! My adorable resin popsocket, which I got from an Etsy shop, makes holding the Kindle incredibly comfortable, whether I'm lying down, sitting on a plane, or just lounging somewhere new. It provides a secure grip, preventing accidental drops and allowing me to read for extended periods without hand cramps. It's those small, thoughtful accessories that truly complete the setup for a dedicated reader. So, if you're tackling Iron Flame or any other epic novel, an IRON FLAME-reading KINDLE PAPERWHITE with a trusty POPSOCKET might just become your absolute favorite way to read!
