✨Saturday morning Bible reading✨

Saturday morning Bible reading routine as a momma of two and Pastors wife.

It can be so hard to make time to spend in God’s word everyday, but I have found that getting into a routine of it everyday no matter what task has to been done works for me. It comes first (after I get my kids situated of course)😁💗. Here is some other ways I help myself stay in my morning routine of Bible reading.

- I keep my Bible, notebook, and study journal on my side table next to my bed so it’s the first thing I see when I wake up every morning.

-The night before I do breakfast pre so it’s easy to give the kids their breakfast 🥞 so that I can do my Bible readying while they eat.

It’s not always perfect each day and it doesn’t always happen like this but I do things the night before to help me stay in my routine for each morning. I hope this is helpful and I will be sharing my daily reading each day with you and ideas. 💗#morningbibletime #christianmorningroutine #biblicalwife #morning prayer

... Read moreIt’s truly a game-changer when you commit to starting your day with God's Word, and as a busy woman juggling life's demands, I totally get how challenging it can be to establish a consistent morning Bible routine. My friend, who also leads a hectic life as a mom, recently asked me, 'How do you actually do a daily Bible study when you barely have time to drink your coffee?' And it's such a valid question! The original post touched on setting up your environment, which is huge. But what about the actual reading itself, especially if you're aiming for something like a '15 minute daily Bible study'? Here's how I approach those precious few minutes to ensure I'm truly engaging with the scriptures and not just rushing through. First, I’ve found that having a loose structure helps immensely. I typically start with a short prayer, asking God to open my heart and mind to what He wants to teach me. This sets the tone for my Bible reading. Then, I dive into a specific passage. Instead of trying to read several chapters, I focus on a smaller, manageable section – sometimes just 5-10 verses. This allows for deeper reflection rather than surface-level reading. Many find the SOAP method (Scripture, Observation, Application, Prayer) incredibly helpful for 'how to read the Bible daily' with intention. After reading, I take a moment to observe: What stands out to me? Are there any commands, promises, or questions? Then, I consider the application: How can this truth apply to my life *today*? This is where the rubber meets the road, and it’s why I keep my journal handy. Writing down my thoughts makes it real and helps me remember. Finally, I close with a prayer, thanking God for His Word and asking for strength to live it out. This entire process usually fits perfectly into my '15 minute daily Bible study' window. Beyond the method, having some go-to 'morning scriptures to start your day' can truly uplift your spirit. When I’m feeling overwhelmed, or just need a jolt of spiritual caffeine, I turn to verses like: Psalm 118:24: 'This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.' It's a beautiful reminder to embrace each new day as a gift. Lamentations 3:22-23: 'The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.' This one speaks volumes about God’s unfailing grace, perfect for busy days. Philippians 4:6-7: 'Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.' A powerful antidote to morning stress. These scriptures are not just for 'women's day themes and scriptures,' but for every woman seeking daily encouragement and strength. And let’s be real, some mornings are just chaotic. There are days when my perfectly planned 'bible morning routine' goes awry. On those days, I practice grace. Maybe it's just one verse I meditate on while making breakfast, or I listen to an audio Bible during my commute. The goal isn't legalism; it's connection. Don't let perfection be the enemy of good. Every little bit counts towards strengthening your walk with God and truly starting your day rooted in His truth. I hope these extra tips inspire you to dig deeper into your daily scripture time!
