... Read moreAs a mother, I’ve often found myself caught in this exact dilemma: desperately seeking quiet moments alone, only to realize within minutes how much I miss my little ones. This is a deeply common experience among moms, often humorously referred to as #MomBrain. The paradox is real — needing space to recharge but instantly feeling a pull back to the warmth and chaos of motherhood. The craving for solitude is not about wanting to escape motherhood; rather, it's about regaining balance. When you’re constantly attentive to your children, alone time provides a mental reset that helps manage stress and boost emotional well-being. This balance is crucial for maintaining patience and energy throughout the demanding days. However, “alone time” is often fleeting and accompanied by an overwhelming sense of guilt or longing. After just a few minutes away, many mothers experience an emotional tug to reconnect with their babies, which can lead to moments of tears or reflection about the preciousness of these early years. Understanding this emotional cycle can help moms embrace both needs without judgment. It’s okay to want a break and equally normal to miss your children deeply. Sharing these moments with other moms or through social media hashtags like #MomLifeFeels or #MissingMyBabies creates a supportive community where these feelings are validated. Ultimately, this push and pull reflect the incredible depth of maternal love and the human need for self-care. Recognizing these feelings as natural can help mothers navigate their day-to-day life with more compassion towards themselves and a greater appreciation for the unique journey of motherhood.

Things normalized in motherhood that aren’t normal
There’s a-lot more we go through that stays unsaid. We need to share more of those realistic moments and know we are all struggling in the same way, it’s sad that society has made these common and normalized in motherhood. It’s just another reason to believe that we are amazing.🩷

The Pill I Didn’t Want to Need — and Why I Take It
This is your reminder that taking medication doesn’t make you weak, broken, or “less than.” Sometimes it just makes life livable. I’ve been on Zoloft (sertraline) for 17 years. Seventeen. And if I’m being honest, I wish I didn’t need to take something for the rest of my life just to function. I’

Why motherhood feels harder than it should

Reclaiming your identity in motherhood
Motherhood is a gift, but it should never erase the woman God created you to be. At some point, every mother has to pause and ask, “Who am I outside of everything I do for everyone else?” You deserve space to breathe, grow, heal, and rediscover who you are, and God is not intimidated by your des

Motherhood is Ministry
The diapers. The dishes. The middle-of-the-night rocking. It all matters to God. Because the way you love and serve your children is ministry. Jesus sees it—even when no one else does. 📖 “Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord…” (Colossians 3:23 NIV)
