Taking a break from social media

My mom has taken a turn for the worse. We just placed here in Hospice today. It happened so quickly. I am taking a one-way red eye ticket tonight to be with her. I will be stepping away from social media. Thank you for your support and prayers 🙏♥️😢. See you all soon

... Read moreAs many individuals experience the loss of loved ones or face difficult family situations, stepping away from social media can be crucial for mental health. Social media can often feel overwhelming, especially during emotional times. It’s important to realize that taking a break can provide the necessary space to process feelings and connect deeply with family. Many people find it helpful to focus on real-life interactions and engage in self-care practices like journaling, walking, or spending quiet time in nature. In moments of grief, connecting with others who have faced similar losses can create a supportive community. This sense of shared experience can alleviate feelings of isolation and promote healing. If you find yourself in a similar situation, consider reaching out to friends, family, or support groups that can provide comfort and understanding. Remember, it’s okay to take a step back from online engagement; your well-being is the priority. Also, expressing gratitude for the support you receive from others can be incredibly grounding during tough times.
