Checked in online, but boarding didn't, what happened?
We always thought online check-in was comfortable.
Until the day he was confused in front of the ticket checkpoint, and the staff told us,
"Can't board yet ❌. Must print the real boarding pass at the counter."
I have to say, we usually fly with an airline.
Always check in online and board. Never a problem.
But this is the first trip with a new airline and a foreign airline.
We checked there was an online check-in.
So I checked in as usual. I thought everything was fine.
But it turns out that mobile boarding passes do not work. They only have to be printed from the counter.
It's about 30 minutes left before boarding time.
We immediately ran to the counter, but all we found was that the counter was closed.
We ran back to the ticket check point. Tell the staff the counter's closed.
But the answer was "I have to print at the counter" with a little irritated tone, and yes, we ran again.
And then I had to run back because it was really closed.
It was time to board. I was devastated. 😣
Very lucky that the staff changed shifts.
We told the whole situation the fastest.
He asked for our passports to coordinate with the airline.
Wait about 5 minutes and it's 5 minutes that feels very long.
Finally, he can take us in. 🎉
Then is the whole life run.
Via security check → Oct. → Go to the gate.
Fortunately, the gate was not far away, and he was checking the passenger ticket just before boarding, reaching in a very close flight, almost falling.

- Online check-in does not apply to all airlines.
- Some airlines need a real boarding pass.
- Don't worry, despite how often you fly.

หลังจากเช็คอินออนไลน์แล้ว หลายคน (รวมถึงเรา) มักคิดว่า “โอเค พร้อมขึ้นเครื่องแล้ว” แต่จริง ๆ ยังมีเช็กลิสต์ที่ควรทำต่อ เพื่อกันเหตุการณ์แบบเรา—เช็คอินแล้วแต่ขึ้นเครื่องไม่ได้ เพราะบางสายการบิน/บางเส้นทาง “ต้องมี boarding pass ตัวจริงที่เคาน์เตอร์” โดยเฉพาะทริปต่างประเทศ 1) เช็คให้ชัวร์ว่า “เช็คอินสำเร็จ” ไม่ใช่แค่กรอกข้อมูล หลังเช็คอินเสร็จ หน้าจอควรขึ้น Confirmed/Checked-in และมีเลขที่นั่ง (ถ้าเลือกได้) ถ้าขึ้นว่า Pending/Incomplete ให้กดดูรายละเอียดว่า ติดขั้นตอนไหน เช่น ต้องตรวจเอกสารก่อน (document verification) 2) ดูให้ชัดว่า boarding pass ของคุณ “ใช้ขึ้นเครื่องได้” ไหม บางสายการบินจะออกเป็น Mobile boarding pass (มี QR/Barcode) ใช้ผ่าน security และขึ้นเกตได้เลย แต่บางเจ้าออกเป็นแค่ “Confirmation” หรือ “Itinerary” ซึ่งไม่ใช่บอร์ดดิ้งพาสจริง ให้สังเกตคำว่า Boarding Pass/Admit One/QR Code และมีข้อมูล Gate/Boarding time/Seat ครบ ๆ 3) เช็คเงื่อนไข “ต้องไปเคาน์เตอร์” ตั้งแต่เนิ่น ๆ ให้ดูในอีเมลหลังเช็คอิน/ในแอป/หน้า Manage booking ว่ามีข้อความแนว ๆ “Please proceed to check-in counter” “Document check required” “Boarding pass must be printed at airport” ถ้าเจอประโยคนี้ อย่ารอไปหน้าเกต ให้ไปเคาน์เตอร์ทันที เพราะเคาน์เตอร์มีเวลาปิด (บางที่ปิดก่อน boarding เยอะ) 4) ถ้าเป็นไฟลต์ต่างประเทศ เตรียมเอกสารให้พร้อมสำหรับตรวจ พาสปอร์ต, วีซ่า (ถ้ามี), เอกสารเข้าประเทศ/ตั๋วขากลับ/ที่พัก บางประเทศหรือบางสายการบินเข้มเรื่องตรวจเอกสาร เลยไม่ปล่อย mobile boarding pass จนกว่าจะตรวจที่เคาน์เตอร์ก่อน 5) หลังได้บอร์ดดิ้งพาสแล้ว ทำอะไรต่อ? - เช็ค Terminal/Gate ในแอปหรือจอสนามบิน (Gate เปลี่ยนได้) - เผื่อเวลาเดิน: security → ตม. → ไปเกต (ต่างประเทศใช้เวลามาก) - ถ้ามีกระเป๋าโหลด ให้ดูเวลารับฝากกระเป๋า (bag drop) ว่าปิดกี่โมง 6) ทริคกันพลาดแบบเรา - แคปหน้าจอ/เซฟ PDF boarding pass ไว้ เผื่อเน็ตล่ม - ไปสนามบินเร็วขึ้นถ้าบินกับสายการบินที่ไม่เคยใช้ - ถ้าหน้าเกตบอกให้ไปเคาน์เตอร์ แต่เคาน์เตอร์ปิด ให้รีบแจ้งเจ้าหน้าที่ที่จุดเช็คตั๋ว/เกต พร้อมอธิบายว่าไปมาแล้วและปิดจริง (บางครั้งต้องให้เขาประสานกับสายการบิน) สรุป: “เช็คอินออนไลน์” คือช่วยประหยัดเวลา แต่ไม่การันตีว่าขึ้นเครื่องได้ 100% โดยเฉพาะสายการบินต่างประเทศหรือไฟลต์ที่ต้องตรวจเอกสาร ใครกำลังสงสัยว่าเช็คอินออนไลน์แล้วทำไงต่อ ให้ไล่ตามเช็กลิสต์นี้ จะได้ไม่ลุ้นนาทีสุดท้ายเหมือนเรา
