Wedding Day
Today is my uncle's wedding day.
Ah was a very warm man, always a man who cared for everyone around him, lovely, kind and loved by the family. Today I saw his smile on the day that started another chapter of life.
The bride is beautiful, and surprisingly, she's younger than me.
Today's event was filled with family members from Myanmar, my grandfather, my grandmother, my mother, and my uncle, all of whom came together. My father was the eldest, had two brothers and a sister. Ah, who married today is my father's little brother and not too far away from me.
Everyone is of Nepalese descent.
Throughout the event, everyone spoke Nepali naturally, and I couldn't speak it, but I listened to it with a strange feeling, like I was seeing my roots through a language I had never learned.
My cousin's sister came here today, and when I looked around, I couldn't help but smile, because many people looked strangely like me.
One thing I've always noticed is the lifestyle of our family.
They live very simple lives, eat simple foods like milk, bread, nuts, and basic foods, eat no pork or many kinds of meat, do not lavish, do not follow the flow, do not spend money on unnecessarily expensive things.
Everyday clothes are simple, plain, but on a big day like a wedding, everyone dresses gracefully, wears gold jewelry and beautiful dresses according to culture and belief, is a meaningful luxury, not to show off anyone.
I felt that living in a family like this allowed myself to absorb frugality, fit and living without hurting anyone more and more.
Maybe...Wealth may not start from having a lot of money, but from knowing life fit.
I didn't come home today with just pictures of memories of the wedding.
I came back with inspiration.
Inspired to work hard, save money, build your own business.
And I hope one day my day will be the same.
The day my two-handed business grew steadily, and the family I loved would come together again...
Not to come to the wedding.
But to come and stand by and congratulate me on my success.
