Nugget loves to watch me game

Every time I settle down to play, she’s right there, perched on my desk or nestled beside my monitor, intently watching every move. It’s like having my own little furry co-pilot. You know those intense moments during a game when 'the objective is now active' or 'the point is vulnerable'? Nugget’s ears perk up, her tail gives a little twitch, and she gets this incredibly focused look, almost like she’s trying to strategize with me! I often play games like Overwatch, and I swear she recognizes the characters. If I'm playing as Moira, she'll track the healing orbs, and if a fast-moving character rushes across the screen, she'll follow it with her head, her eyes wide with curiosity. I’ve noticed she’s particularly fascinated by fast-moving objects or bright colors on screen. If I'm playing a game with a lot of action, like when [HENA] or other quick characters are zipping around, Nugget's head will dart back and forth. It’s hilarious to watch her try to 'catch' the on-screen action with her paws, often missing by a mile but still fully engaged. It makes me wonder what she’s actually processing up there in her little feline brain! Having her beside me makes gaming even more special. It's like having a little cheerleader, even if she occasionally blocks my view with an affectionate head rub! It truly adds a unique and heartwarming layer to my gaming sessions. Of course, I always make sure she's not too close to the screen, and I'm careful with sudden loud noises that might startle her. It's important to keep their eyes safe and not overstimulate them. A comfy blanket or a cat bed nearby for her to nap on when she gets tired of spectating is a must! Have you ever noticed your cat reacting to in-game sounds? Nugget definitely does. If there’s a loud explosion or a dramatic 'activating self destruct sequence' warning, she’ll often twitch her tail or give a tiny meow of acknowledgment.
