Jack's Pumpkin Pop-up
2024/9/25 Edited to

... Read moreAs someone who loves all things fall, Jack's Pumpkin Pop-up in Chicago has become an absolute must-visit on my autumn bucket list! It's so much more than just a pumpkin patch; it's a full-blown fall festival right in the heart of the city, perfectly blending rustic charm with urban vibes. Every year, I look forward to seeing how they transform Goose Island into a magical autumnal wonderland, and this year, it truly felt bigger and better than ever. First off, let's talk about getting there. Jack's Pumpkin Pop-up is located at 1265 W Le Moyne St, Chicago, IL 60642. I always recommend planning your visit, especially if you want to beat the crowds. Weekday evenings tend to be a bit calmer than peak weekend hours. Whether you go during the day to really soak in the golden sunlight on the pumpkins or at night when all the string lights illuminate the entire space, giving it a truly enchanting glow, you're in for a treat. The city skyline views from the venue, especially at dusk, are absolutely breathtaking and make for incredible photo opportunities. Now, for the activities! The corn maze is truly an experience. It's dubbed the city's largest, and I can confirm, it's easy to get wonderfully lost in there! It’s a fantastic challenge and a great way to kick off the fall fun. After conquering the maze, I always head straight for the massive pumpkin patch. With over 10,000 pumpkins, you're guaranteed to find your perfect jack-o'-lantern candidate or a beautiful decorative gourd. It’s so much fun sifting through them all, imagining what masterpiece you’ll create. For those seeking a bit more thrill, the mechanical bulls are a riot – even if you just watch! And axe throwing? It’s surprisingly addictive and a great way to blow off some steam. What I love about Jack's is that while the "BOO"-zy bars are strictly 21+, most other activities are open to all ages, making it a fantastic outing for families during the day and a lively spot for adults in the evening. The carnival games add an extra layer of nostalgic fun, and there are plenty of food options to keep you fueled for all the excitement. My personal tip? Wear comfortable shoes because you'll be doing a lot of walking, and definitely bring your camera! The entire venue, especially with the Chicago skyline in the background and all the festive decorations, is incredibly picturesque. From the pumpkin-covered structures mentioned in the OCR to the hay bales and vibrant fall foliage, every corner offers a unique photo op. Jack's Pumpkin Pop-up truly captures the spirit of fall in Chicago, making it an unforgettable seasonal adventure you won't want to miss.
