For all my Summer Friday girlies, the iced coffee has come back! This is my first time getting it and I must say….. I love it! I love the texture I love the nice brown sheer cocoa color. The scent is definitely noticeable, almost like a caramel or toffee scent. But non the less delicious (if you love coffee of course). I definitely recommend to all my coffee lovers 🤎
Also my first time ordering a Summer Fridays product that isn’t lip balm. I got their “Cloud Dew gel cream moisturizer” which I have yet to try. I got it with my Sephora rewards, shame it’s so small 😕
... Read moreOkay, so let's deep dive into the Summer Fridays Iced Coffee Lip Balm beyond just the first swipe! When I first saw the packaging, I was already hooked – it just screams cozy coffee shop vibes, even before you open it. But the real magic happens when you see and feel the product itself.
The 'nice brown sheer cocoa color' mentioned in the original review is truly spot on. It's not a heavy, opaque brown, which is perfect because nobody wants to look like they've just wiped a coffee stain on their lips! Instead, it gives this beautiful, natural-looking tint that enhances your own lip color with a hint of warmth. I've found that on lighter skin tones, it offers a subtle, 'your lips but better' look with a healthy sheen, almost like a natural flush. For those with deeper complexions, it adds a gorgeous, glossy dimension without being too stark. It’s definitely a shade that I think would be flattering on almost everyone, making it a versatile 'cosmetic item' for your everyday makeup bag.
Now, let's talk about the 'texture'. This isn't your average sticky gloss! It feels incredibly cushiony and hydrating on the lips, melting in beautifully without any tackiness. It glides on like a dream, leaving behind a comfortable, balmy feel that lasts for a good couple of hours before needing a reapplication. The 'swatch test' on my hand showed just how smoothly it applies, and when I tried it on my lips, it felt even better. It really delivers on that promise of hydration, which is essential for any good 'lip balm'. The glossy finish makes your lips look plump and juicy, giving that coveted 'glazed donut' lip effect without being overly shiny.
And the scent? Oh my goodness, the 'caramel or toffee scent' is just delicious! It’s prominent enough to be enjoyable but not so overwhelming that it becomes annoying. It truly smells like a sweet iced coffee, which adds to the whole experience. It's a little sensory treat every time you apply it.
Beyond the lip balm, I also picked up the Summer Fridays Cloud Dew Gel Cream Moisturizer. The original post mentioned it was 'so small,' and honestly, that was my first thought too! It's a mini, perfect for travel or to try out before committing to the full size. But even though it's small, a little goes a long way with gel creams. I'm excited to finally try this 'moisturizer' out. I’ve heard amazing things about its lightweight hydration and how it leaves your skin feeling super bouncy without any greasiness. I'll definitely be watching for how it preps my skin for makeup and if it truly delivers that 'cloud-like' feel.
Overall, the Summer Fridays Iced Coffee Lip Balm is more than just a trend; it’s a genuinely lovely product. If you're a fellow coffee lover or just someone who appreciates a good, hydrating lip tint with a delicious scent, you absolutely have to try this. It’s perfect for adding a touch of effortless chic to your look, whether you're just running errands or heading out for a casual brunch. It combines wonderful 'color and texture' with a delightful aroma, making it a truly satisfying addition to my 'little beauty haul'. What are your thoughts on Summer Fridays products? Have you tried this one yet?
