Main Dining Room Explorer of the Seas

Stepping into the Main Dining Room (MDR) on the Royal Caribbean Explorer of the Seas was truly one of the highlights of my recent cruise! It's fantastic to know that such a sophisticated dining experience is completely included in your cruise fare. For dinner, the atmosphere is just lovely – think elegant settings, crisp tablecloths, and attentive staff, which I lovingly refer to as the ‘Dining Team’ (they're truly awesome!). I remember one night I had a perfectly cooked steak, and another, some incredibly fresh seafood. They cater to so many tastes, from classic American dishes to international flavors, so you’re sure to find something you love every night. And don’t even get me started on the desserts – pure bliss! Beyond dinner, the MDR also offers a delightful breakfast and lunch on sea days. Breakfast usually features a mix of a la carte options like eggs Benedict, pancakes, and omelets, alongside some continental choices. Lunch is often a more relaxed affair, still with a great selection of salads, sandwiches, and hot entrees. It’s a fantastic way to enjoy a leisurely meal with table service without feeling rushed. But the Explorer of the Seas isn't just about the Main Dining Room. If you're wondering about other restaurants and food options, there's plenty more to explore! For a more casual, buffet-style experience, the Windjammer Marketplace is a must-visit. It offers a vast array of global cuisines for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, perfect if you’re looking for variety and convenience. And for those late-night cravings or a quick bite, Cafe Promenade (yes, the one you've heard about!) is a lifesaver. Open 24/7, it’s my go-to for coffee, pastries, sandwiches, and my absolute favorite – fresh pizza slices at Sorrento's. It's truly amazing to have so many quality food options included! Compared to other ships, the Explorer of the Seas really holds its own when it comes to dining. The quality and variety of the included options make it an exceptional value. Whether you’re a foodie or just looking for satisfying meals, the Explorer of the Seas ensures you’ll be well-fed throughout your entire journey. My tip? Don't be afraid to try new things on the menu, and always chat with your 'Dining Team' – they often have the best recommendations!
