Cookies for the Crew - Quantum of the Seas Part 2

We absolutely love cruising with Royal Caribbean, and one of our favorite traditions is showing appreciation to the incredible crew members who work tirelessly to make our voyages unforgettable. On our recent trip aboard the Quantum of the Seas, we continued our tradition of bringing specially decorated, homemade cookies for the crew. It's a small gesture, but we’ve seen firsthand how much it means to them. Many people wonder why we bring gifts like cookies for the crew. For us, it's about recognizing the human element behind the exceptional service. These crew member's are far from home, working long hours, and a little taste of home or a thoughtful treat can truly brighten their day. When planning to bring cookies or other treats, a few practical tips can make all the difference. We always opt for individually wrapped cookies to ensure hygiene and ease of distribution. This also means they can easily store them or share with others without worrying about freshness. Non-perishable items are always best. We transport ours in sturdy, airtight containers, making sure they’re well-protected in our luggage. Onboard the Quantum of the Seas, we found it quite easy to distribute them. We like to walk around to different areas – the dining room staff, our room attendant, bar staff, and even the entertainment team. The grab-bag approach, as mentioned in our main post, is fantastic because it adds an element of fun and surprise! The reactions of the Royal Caribbean crew members are always the most rewarding part. Their faces light up with genuine surprise and gratitude. We remember one particular crew member's smile when they picked out a cookie – it was clear it made their day. It’s not about the monetary value; it's the thought and the personal connection. As the OCR noted, sometimes they remember our faces even if they don't instantly recall the specific cookie. That connection is what we cherish.
