thursday 10k
after my morning run followed by breakfast, I went back out with mom for a 10k! I knew I had a few more miles in me!! Afterwards Harrison helped me bake some banana bread and snack on fresh strawberries. Slight headache from the Florida heat but will continue to hydrate and looking forward to some pickle ball. #florida #sports #baking #family
Completing a 10K run on a warm Florida day can be both challenging and rewarding. From personal experience, pacing yourself is key, especially in the heat. I usually start with a light breakfast to fuel my muscles and stay comfortable during the run. Running with family members not only adds motivation but also makes the experience more enjoyable. After my run, indulging in homemade banana bread and fresh strawberries provided a healthy and satisfying way to replenish my energy. Baking together also created precious bonding moments. Managing hydration is crucial in warm climates like Florida’s to prevent headaches and maintain performance. I always carry a water bottle and take frequent sips during and after exercise. Later, engaging in activities like pickleball offers a great way to stay active without overexerting oneself post-run. It’s important to listen to your body and balance intensity with relaxation. Overall, combining running, family time, and healthy treats makes for a fulfilling and balanced day. If you’re looking to start a similar routine, consider gradually increasing your distance and incorporating enjoyable activities to keep your fitness journey sustainable and fun.
