Choose Peace 💜
Folks will try you and belittle you.
Some will even go out of their way to hurt you.
But often times the way people treat others says more about the battles they’re fighting within themselves than it does about you….
Not everyone is willing to face their own wounds. Sometimes it’s easier for them to project their pain than to heal it……
So protect your peace and guard your heart. Choose your joy. Continue growing, glowing, and becoming the person God created you to be.💜

Throughout my own journey of protecting my peace, I’ve learned that not everyone seeks peace; some people want a reaction. They study your wounds and press on your triggers just to prove they still have control over you. This made me realize the importance of not handing anyone the map to my vulnerabilities. Instead, I decided to stay away from toxic influences and focus on my emotional well-being. One profound lesson I embraced is that miserable people can sometimes try to recruit others into their misery. They project their unhealed pain onto those around them, but I chose not to make their storm my forecast. Walking every day as if I am surrounded by flowers, letting the sun kiss my face, helps me glow so brightly that their darkness simply cannot dim my light. Another important aspect of protecting my peace has been setting boundaries. Saying no to situations and people who drain my energy was difficult at first, but now I understand that my energy is too precious to waste. I learned to pay no mind to those committed to misunderstanding or hurting me — in fact, I metaphorically pay them dust. Healing is not a linear process. I remind myself daily that sometimes people don’t heal; they only project. This awareness has helped me cultivate compassion without sacrificing my own joy. Protecting your peace means more than avoiding negativity; it means actively choosing growth, self-worth, and happiness. If you’re on a healing journey or struggling with inner peace, my advice is to guard your heart vigilantly and choose joy intentionally. You were created to shine and to be a beacon of light, even when others struggle in their darkness. Remember, protecting your peace is an ongoing process, but it’s the foundation for living a fulfilled and glowing life.
