DAY 23 - Fruit Grows Through Encouragement
Scripture:
Hebrews 10:24
“And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.”
Devotional
Encouragement is one of the simplest yet most powerful ways we can reflect the love of Christ. In a world filled with criticism, negativity, and discouragement, a kind word can make a tremendous difference in someone’s life.
The early church understood the importance of encouragement. Believers strengthened one another, prayed for one another, and helped each other remain faithful during difficult seasons. They recognized that spiritual growth was never meant to be a journey taken alone.
Encouragement is more than offering compliments. It is intentionally helping others move closer to God. It reminds the weary that they are not alone. It strengthens those who feel weak. It points people back to God’s promises when circumstances tempt them to lose hope.
The fruit of the Spirit grows when we choose to build others up rather than tear them down. Our words have the power to bring life, inspire faith, and encourage perseverance.
Ask God today to show you someone who needs encouragement. A simple message, phone call, prayer, or kind word may be exactly what they need to continue moving forward.
Reflection Question
Who in your life could benefit from encouragement today, and how can you intentionally build them up?
Prayer
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the people who have encouraged me throughout my life and helped strengthen my faith. Help me become a source of encouragement to others. Give me words that bring hope, wisdom, and life. Show me opportunities to build others up and point them toward You.
May my actions and words reflect the love of Christ and help others continue growing in their walk with You.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Key Takeaway
Encouragement is a powerful way to reflect Christ. When we build others up, we help strengthen faith, inspire hope, and produce lasting spiritual fruit.
