May Reading Wrap-Up!

6/21 Edited to

... Read moreLooking back at my May reading accomplishments, I was truly amazed at the diversity and volume of books I managed to complete. Most of my reading consisted of physical books, which I find deeply immersive, but I also enjoyed a few audiobooks that allowed me to “read” during commutes and chores. One highlight was exploring themes from Sarah Dessen’s works to John Green’s novel, which added a wide range of emotional and narrative experiences. I also found the poetry sections and personal storytelling elements from authors like Jennette McCurdy and Laurie Halse McConaughey especially moving and insightful. Integrating audiobooks into my routine was a game-changer; it provided flexibility when physical reading wasn’t possible, like during workouts or while driving. If you’re looking to balance busy days with ongoing reading, audiobooks are worth trying. For June, while I plan to scale back due to a busier schedule, I’m motivated to maintain a steady reading habit. Reflecting on this month has encouraged me to be mindful of balancing genres and formats — mixing fiction, poetry, memoirs, and audio — to keep my engagement fresh and fulfilling. If you’re considering a reading challenge or wrap-up of your own, I highly recommend setting achievable monthly goals and exploring varied authors to enrich your experience. Sharing progress and book recommendations within communities also really helps keep motivation high. Happy reading!
