Beyond Bottles: My Go-To Methods for Different Surfaces For Plastic (like my craft bottles, or toy cases, containers): My hairdryer and packing tape method is a winner here. Gently heat the sticker for 30-60 seconds (enough to warm it, not melt the plastic!). Then, try peeling from a corner. If residue remains, firmly press a piece of fresh packing tape onto the residue and quickly pull it off. Repeat until clean. For really tough spots, a little rubbing alcohol on a cotton ball can help, but always patch test first! Glass (jars, windows, mirrors): Glass is pretty forgiving! Start with heat from a hairdryer. If that doesn't get everything, a razor blade scraper (held at a shallow angle!) can carefully lift off any remaining bits. For stubborn goo, a dab of cooking oil (like olive or vegetable oil) or peanut butter can work wonders. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes to break down the adhesive, then wipe away and clean with soap and water. Painted Walls or Wood Furniture: This is where you need to be super careful! For painted surfaces, avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive scrubbing, as they can lift the paint. Sometimes, a pencil eraser can gently rub away small bits of residue without damaging the finish. Metal (appliances, aluminum cans): Heat is usually effective here. For extra tough residue, rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover (acetone – test first!), or even WD-40 can dissolve the adhesive. Just remember to clean the area thoroughly with soap and water afterward to remove any oily residue. Fabric and Clothes: Oh, the dreaded clothing sticker! First, try to pick off as much as you can. Then, for the residue, place the sticky area face down on a piece of cardboard.
