🍋Lemon Garlic Butter shrimp 🦐
✨Ingredients:
- 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 3 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Zest of 1 lemon
- 1/4 cup chicken broth or white wine
- 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Lemon slices for garnish
✨Instructions:
1. Prep Shrimp: Pat the shrimp dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
2. Cook Shrimp: In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 1 tablespoon of butter. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes on each side, or until they turn pink and are cooked through. Remove the shrimp from the skillet and set aside.
3. Make Sauce: In the same skillet, add the remaining 2 tablespoons of butter. Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
4. Add Liquid: Pour in the chicken broth or white wine, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Bring the mixture to a simmer and let it cook for about 2-3 minutes to reduce slightly.
5. Combine: Return the shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat in the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the shrimp are heated through.
6. Finish: Sprinkle with red pepper flakes (if using) and chopped parsley. Garnish with lemon slices.
7. Serve: Serve immediately with your favorite sides like rice, pasta, or a fresh salad.
