It’s time to let go
Deciding when to let go of a relationship, friendship, or goal can be hard, but there are times when it’s necessary for your well-being and growth. Here are some signs it might be time to let go
1. When it’s constantly hurting you! If a relationship, job, or friendship causes you more pain, stress, or sadness than happiness, it may be doing more harm than good. If you notice that it’s affecting your mental or physical health negatively, it’s a strong sign to consider moving on.
2. When it’s draining you. If you’re constantly feeling emotionally, mentally, or physically exhausted, it may be time to let go. Healthy relationships and situations should uplift and energize you, not drain you.
3. When your needs aren’t being fulfilled. In relationships, if your emotional, physical, or practical needs aren’t being met and you’ve tried to communicate and improve things without success, it might be time to move on. Your happiness and sense of self-worth shouldn’t be sacrificed for the sake of someone or something else.
4. When you’re constantly trying to change someone. It’s important to accept people for who they are. If you find yourself always trying to change someone, or if they repeatedly break promises to change, it may be a sign that things won’t improve. You can’t control or change others, and it’s important to respect your own needs if they aren’t being met.
