If you've ever been curious about creating your own dark sketches or exploring fantasy drawing ideas, then you're definitely in the right place! I often get asked about my process, and today I want to dive a bit deeper into how I approach my ink drawing projects. For me, ink drawing is all about building up layers and creating dynamic textures. When working on pieces like my stylized face drawing, I love experimenting with cross-hatching to add depth and shadow, especially around the large eyes or to define the structure. It’s amazing how much character you can give a face just by varying your line weights and the density of your strokes. I often incorporate solid black areas to create strong contrasts, making certain features like thick lips or shadowed areas really pop. It’s a bit like sculpting with lines! When it comes to fantasy drawing ideas, like my 'Acid Dragon' piece, I usually start with a very loose pencil sketch to map out the general form. Once I'm happy with the basic composition, that's when the real fun with ink begins.
