Libby Update: Y’all it’s bad
My State (Missouri) has one Libby Library for the entire state. I’m usually happy because I live in a small town that is mostly rural farmers whose grandpappy’s grandpappy owned their land first.
Okay so my holds list is a little rough.

Impulse By Ellen Hopkins is one of my favorite books of all times. I needed something to listen to that I could slip in and out of so I picked a book I used to be able to quote. It’s a great read and the audio narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life.
Gather The Daughters by Jennie Melamed is on my radar because after I finished The Chosen One I googled more books that explore cults. If you have any other recommendations please feel free to share with me.
City Of Girls by Elizabeth Gilbert is a book I’m excited about especially after the latest Taylor Swift announcement. I feel like it’s giving Life Of A Showgirl vibes and can’t wait to read it before October 3rd.

The Naturals by Jennifer Lynn Barnes looked interesting and I enjoyed the first book of the inheritance games. I’m hoping this one is good.
I Was A Teenage Slasher by Stephen Graham Jones looked really interesting plus I figured I would get it for summerween, looks like it will be for Spooky Season. (It’s year round in my house who am I kidding)
Meddling Kids by Edgar Canter was described to me as Scooby Doo but a book. I’m looking forward to it.

Okay, so I saw The Book Club for Troublesome Women was a top book for my library and immediately wanted to read it. In the era of tradwife culture I feel like this will offer another perspective. Also I am totally a troublesome woman, I mean I live with my boyfriend and make him do the dishes. (I hate doing dishes)
Clown in a Cornfield keeps getting recommended to me on Tik Tok so I am curious. Also my library has the second one physically but not the first one???? I love small town life lol.
Scythe and Sparrow is on this list because I just didn’t have time when it was ready. I have been dealing with some fun stuff like my boyfriend’s siblings and haven’t felt like doing much.
Wings Of Starlight is a book I have been looking forward to. I have been on a book buying ban but might break it for this one.

All of these are several months. For Part of Your World I have it both digital and audio. I was in the mood for horror thrillers but I have no clue what I will be in the mood for when I get them.
There is hope however, my library once bought 45 copies of both lights out and caught up to bring down the wait times. Hopefully they’ll buy more copies before Part of Your World gets to 300, which it’s getting close to again.
