📖My Book Ratings this week 📖
It was another Wild Week. Taylor Swift got engaged and Man's Best Friend came out. But in my personal life my family dog, Speckles, passed away. I miss him dearly because he was always a good boy. I hope he enjoys the rainbow bridge and that there are plenty of deer to chase and coyotes to romance. In happier news (kind of because it means I have to spend around $500 to build my set up) my boyfriend bought a new PC and we are no longer sharing. I'm thankful we don't have to share and it is going to be great until my dad is done building my new one.

Every Summer Since You

⭐️⭐️⭐️
The Author commented on one of my Tiktok's recommending I read her book if I like Taylor Swift. While I don't see a connection I do recommend it as a short cutesy romance. It's a second chance romance where two exes have to work together to win a contest to keep a bar open. It's low spice and there is LGBT+ representation.

This is one of my new favorite reads and I can't wait for his other books to be available. Tolly was a regular teenager in Texas until he is at a party and spills a beer on a girl. This starts a series of events that lead to the worst possible thing happening. I cried after reading this book. Read this if you like horror books that dissect the genre.

This was one of the books that I wanted to read in Middle School but never had time for. It was fun I think middle school me would have been obsessed. A girl goes to Paris on a school trip while a serial killer is on the loose. She keeps being drawn to places the Queen loved or was attached to. What will she learn about the past that could affect her future?

Dragon Teeth

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Somehow the best Micheal Crichton novel but my dad didn't recommend it. It's a western about a college student going to the west on a dare to look for fossils. He deals with everything you find in a western and then some. Was a fun read, I really enjoyed the way Micheal Crichton did his research.

I Kissed Shara Wheeler

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This book has been on my TBR since it came out and I think it was well worth the wait. Fun novel about teens at a Christian school all trying to find Shara Wheeler after she kisses them and leaves them cryptic notes. Fun, campy and worth the read.

My Mama said "read a classic" I went down the list until I found on I hadn't read yet. This one was recommended to me a lot as a kid in foster care but I thought it was silly that all anyone recommended I read were books about orphans. A couple adopts a girl when they mean to adopt a boy to help with farm work. She is adventurous and wordy and causes everyone around her to grow and learn to love her. It's 3 stars because it reads like she gets paid by the word.

I keep debating DNFing this book. It's Scooby Doo but Shaggy is Klaud from Umbrella Academy.
