My Reading Wrap Up This Week
Really important to know: I'm a nanny and I get paid to post online. So technically any reading is working but to keep it fair this is what I read while nannying.
Don't worry the kid is doing great, I keep an AirPod in during screen time because hearing "he's your friendly neighborhood spider" drives me actually nuts. He is hitting all of his milestones early and loves play time. He is very happy and loves me.
Now that the paragraph of trying to save myself from being nanny shamed is done let's talk books.
😬😬😬
My worst book this week was Killing the Witches, I wanted to learn about the witch trials from a religious stand point, which is what the back of the book promised. What I got was: its women's fault and Ben Franklin rocked also the Exorcist was a real thing. Not exactly witchy.
💖💖💖
My best book this was Big Magic. My friend has been trying to convince me to start a podcast. This book let me see it's her creativity trying to come out and that fear is stupid. My theatre used the speech from Dune, "fear is the mind killer" before every performance to prep ourselves. I will be taking this book with me into the rest of my creative endeavors.
