🍵 Herbal teas like Chamomile, goet rue, and alfalfa These aren’t just cozy 👀they work.

Chamomile helps calm your nervous system and improve letdown @breasfriend_tea

Fennel has natural galactagogue properties, meaning it can help stimulate milk flow.

Nettle leaf is packed with iron and minerals that support postpartum recovery and milk production.

Drink 1–2 cups per day, warm or iced!

🥑 Nutrient-dense snacks (healthy fats + protein!)

Fuel = milk.

Try avocado, nuts, eggs, full-fat yogurt, and seeds. Your body needs fat and protein to make high-quality breastmilk.

💡 Bonus tip: Add 1 tbsp of coconut oil to your morning smoothie or coffee it’s anti-inflammatory, calorie-dense, and may help with energy and hormone support.

Try it for a week and thank me later 😉

⏱️ Power pumping once a day

This mimics cluster feeding and signals your body to make more milk.

Pick a time when you can relax for about 60 minutes. Example schedule:

• Pump 20 mins

• Rest 10

• Pump 10

• Rest 10

• Pump 10

Do it consistently for 3–7 days for best results.

💧 Hydrate consistently, not just occasionally

You don’t need to drown in water but dehydration will tank your supply.

Aim for small sips all day long. Add electrolytes (like coconut water or LMNT) if you’re sweating a lot or pumping at night.

🤲 Massage while pumping = better emptying

Gentl🖐️ Try hand expressing (especially after pumps)

Even just 1–2 minutes of hand expression at the end of a pump can help you fully empty and increase future supply.

It’s also useful for relieving pressure or getting milk flowing before letdown.

1/3 Edited to

... Read moreFrom personal experience, I can affirm that combining these natural methods not only helped improve my breastmilk supply but also made the process more comfortable and enjoyable. Drinking calming herbal teas such as chamomile and nettle leaf regularly not only supports my milk production but also aids in relaxation and postpartum recovery. I found that chai or fennel tea is particularly helpful for stimulating milk flow due to its galactagogue properties, which can be a gentle but effective boost. Eating nutrient-dense snacks is crucial. Incorporating foods rich in healthy fats and protein like avocados, nuts, eggs, and full-fat yogurt into my daily meals provided the necessary fuel for quality breastmilk. I easily blended a tablespoon of coconut oil into my morning coffee, appreciating its anti-inflammatory benefits and energy support, which helped me power through long days. Power pumping once a day was a game-changer. Setting aside 60 minutes to mimic cluster feeding with a rhythm of pumping and resting helped signal my body to produce more milk. It required some discipline but proved effective within a week. Consistent hydration kept me going—small, frequent sips of water and coconut water throughout the day prevented dehydration, which I learned could sharply reduce milk supply. Adding electrolyte drinks like LMNT during intense pumping sessions or hot days made a noticeable difference. Lastly, gentle breast massage during pumping, along with hand expression especially after sessions, greatly improved milk emptying and comfort. Even a couple of minutes after pumping relieved pressure and helped maintain or increase milk flow over time. These combined practices made a meaningful impact on my breastfeeding journey, and I highly recommend trying them consistently for several days to experience results yourself.
