Hello Everyone 👋🏻

It’s been a minute since I’ve updated you guys on my journey with my #glp1weightloss

When I started my journey back in September, I was giving myself the weekly shot until December. I backed off doing weekly injections and started giving myself a shot when I started to feel like my noise hunger was out of control. I learned to listen to my body and change my eating habits as well. I picked back up with the injections in March, and lost another 5lbs. I backed off again, and just did my first dose last Sunday. Basically it’s only taken me 4 months to lose 30lbs. My NP told me to only give myself the shot if I start to feel hungry all the time and have a hard time with self control. I think I’m gonna space my injections out to every 10-12 days depending on my hunger for now. I’ve also added in working out. I’ve been at it for 8 weeks. (Swipe to see Sept 2024 to Present🤳)

For me, it's the energy I have for my workouts – feeling strong and confident in athletic wear. It's the way my clothes fit better, or even how I navigate the grocery store, making healthier diet choices without feeling deprived. These are the daily wins that truly signify progress, sometimes even more than a number on the scale. When you track your journey, don't just focus on weight; note down how you feel, your energy levels, and what new activities you can do. If you're thinking about documenting your own 'before and after,' consistency is key. Try to take photos in the same lighting, at the same time of day, and in similar outfits. Don't just focus on full body shots; sometimes a face comparison or even a specific angle showing arm or leg definition can highlight changes you might otherwise miss. I know for me, looking back at where I started, seeing those images alongside my current self, really drives home how far I've come. It’s not just about the external changes, but also the internal shift in confidence and determination. GLP-1 medications like Zepbound are powerful tools, but they work best when paired with lifestyle changes. My own journey, losing 30 pounds, involved learning to listen to my body's hunger cues and actively incorporating exercise. It's about making sustainable changes, not just relying on the medication. This means being mindful of what's in your shopping cart (like balancing treats with healthy staples), staying hydrated, and finding movement you genuinely enjoy. It's not about perfection, but about consistent effort. Embrace the process, celebrate every small victory, and remember that your 'before and after' story is unique and inspiring in its own right!
