DIY Easter Plates
These DIY Easter plates were
So fun to make. And surprisingly very easy!
Here’s what you’ll need:
Glass plates: dollar tree
Pattern napkins: your choice
GLASS mod podge: craft store
White spray paint: Walmart
Clear coat spray paint: Walmart
Sponge paint brush: Walmart
Make sure your plate is clean, go ahead and cut up your napkin in any pattern you want. Add a good amount of mod podge on the plate and then place your napkin on that and add another layer of mod podge. LET IT DRY COMPLETELY.
Once that’s dry, go ahead and take it outside and spray paint. Do light back and forth motions. Let each coat dry in between. If you don’t, it’ll crack with moisture. We don’t want that. Once it’s all dried, spray a layer of clear coat to seal it. And that’s it! Seriously so easy and cute!!
If this is something you like and want to do. Be sure to like, save, and share and follow along for more!

Creating your own DIY Easter plates is not only budget-friendly but also an enjoyable way to add a personal touch to your holiday decor. When selecting your pattern napkins, you can choose from a vast array of designs to match your Easter theme—floral patterns, pastel colors, or even playful bunny prints all work beautifully. It’s important to ensure the glass plates are completely clean and dry before starting to prevent bubbles or peeling of the mod podge. One tip from experience to avoid cracking during the spray-painting stage is to work in a well-ventilated but protected area where the humidity is low. Applying several light coats of white spray paint, allowing each to dry fully, makes the design more durable. After sealing with the clear coat spray paint, these plates become more resistant to scratches and handling—ideal if you plan to use them for displaying treats rather than everyday dining. Additionally, this craft provides a wonderful opportunity to get kids involved. The process of cutting napkins and layering mod podge is simple enough for children under supervision, making it a memorable family activity. For a more glossy and professional finish, some crafters also recommend gently sanding the edges after the mod podge dries and before the spray paints. Finally, while these plates are primarily decorative, be mindful that they are not food-safe without additional sealing products designed for dinnerware. Using them as chargers or as decorative pieces around your Easter table enhances the festive atmosphere and showcases your creative effort. This easy DIY project beautifully combines creativity and practicality, perfect for welcoming spring and Easter celebrations.
