For instance, switching to a mild, sulfate-free cleanser that removes impurities without stripping natural oils can make a huge difference. Using lukewarm water instead of hot water helps prevent further moisture loss. Hydration is key. Products containing hyaluronic acid, glycerin, and aloe vera worked wonders for me by attracting and locking in moisture. I also introduced ceramide-rich creams to help repair and strengthen the barrier, which contributed to improved skin texture and reduced irritation over time. One mistake I made early on was over-exfoliating and using multiple active ingredients simultaneously. This overwhelmed my skin, causing more sensitivity and breakouts.
