Journey with me : Day 2

Day 2 of #Project75KG 💪

Still on recovery mode (broken toe 🥲), so I’m focusing on what I can control — my diet.

Today’s intake: 940 kcal (within my 1,200–1,300 target)

Simple meals, lighter portions, and trying to stay consistent ✨

Small win: -0.85kg from Day 1

Not rushing, just building sustainable habits day by day.

Recovery + weight loss isn’t easy, but I’m learning to be patient with myself 🤍

... Read moreManaging weight loss while recovering from an injury can certainly be challenging, but focusing on what you can control makes a big difference. From personal experience, tracking calories diligently helps maintain a clear perspective on progress, especially when exercise is limited. For instance, keeping daily intake around 1,200–1,300 kcal and choosing nutrient-dense, lighter meals supports both recovery and weight goals without feeling deprived. On Day 2, a calorie intake of 940 kcal shows discipline and the advantage of smaller portions that are easier to digest—important when mobility is limited. I found that including familiar comfort foods in controlled amounts, like seafood noodle soup or dumplings, can keep meals enjoyable while staying within budget. Patience is key; losing 0.85 kg after just one day signals that sustainable changes are taking effect. Additionally, focusing on high-protein and balanced meals helps repair tissue and maintain muscle mass during recovery, which supports longer-term fitness outcomes. Logging food intake daily allows for mindful eating and helps avoid unintentional overeating, especially when activity levels drop. Finally, combining injury recovery with a commitment to weight loss requires mental resilience. Celebrating small wins daily and embracing slower progress prevents frustration and promotes lasting lifestyle habits. Whether you’re dealing with a broken toe or other setbacks, steering your focus to consistent, manageable nutrition changes is a powerful step toward regaining health and achieving your goals.
