It’s incredible how quickly time flies, even with all the morning sickness (which, thankfully, is mostly behind me now!). For those of you also around GA 19w5d, you might be feeling some similar things. My little one is growing so much – I recently saw a measurement of about 18cm, and it just blows my mind how developed she already is inside.
One thing that’s been on my mind, and I know many of you might relate to, is the feeling of 'carrying low.' I’ve had friends and even family members comment on how my bump seems to sit lower this time around, compared to my previous pregnancies. It made me wonder if it meant anything specific. After a bit of research and chatting with my doctor, I learned that 'carrying low' is often just how your unique body is shaped and how your baby settles. It doesn't necessarily indicate anything about the baby's position for birth or any complications, which was a huge relief! Often, it's more about your core strength, body type, and even how many pregnancies you’ve had before. For me, as a mom of four (soon to be five!), my abdominal muscles have certainly been through a lot, so it makes sense that things might feel a bit different. Have any of you experienced this 'low bump' feeling? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences!
At this stage, around 19 weeks and 5 days, my baby girl is getting so active! I can feel those sweet flutters and sometimes even distinct kicks. It’s such a magical feeling and a constant reminder that she’s in there, thriving. Her senses are developing, and she’s already starting to hear sounds from outside. I’ve been trying to talk to her more, and my other kids love to sing to my belly – it’s just the sweetest thing.
For other moms-to-be at this stage, you might be noticing increased energy, which is fantastic after the first trimester! It’s a great time to start thinking about nursery preparations, if you haven’t already, or planning for baby showers. Since this is my fifth child, I’m focusing more on refreshing existing baby gear and getting my older children involved in preparing for their new sister. It’s a big adjustment for them too, so we’re making it a family affair.
The emotional rollercoaster is real, though! One minute I’m beaming with joy, the next I’m feeling a little overwhelmed by the logistics of having five kids. But then I feel a kick, or I see one of my daughters excitedly talking about her new sister, and my heart just melts. God’s timing truly is perfect, and I can’t wait to hold my little queen in my arms. Every pregnancy journey is unique, and sharing these moments, the highs and the questions, makes it all the more special. What are your biggest joys or questions at 19 weeks and 5 days?
congratulations Beautiful Blessing 🥰🥰🥰
