🧼Daily Bathing, Unlocked (ADHD EDITION)🛀🏾
Most don't want to admit it, but when you have ADHD your hygiene can be awful. I myself went through periods of time when I was skipping most of my showers, buffs and brushing my teeth. I'm now at a point where I'm taking care of my bodily and oral hygiene brilliantly daily and I'm gonna give you my trick right now.
My secret: The Stimulation Station! 🤯
This is the foundation of every tool I use to entice myself into the bath and keep me there until I'm clean. This method has increased my personal hygiene significantly!
So what is the stimulation station? It's the bath tray/caddy I use to house all the things that entice me to get in and stay in the bath. It holds the the things that stimulates us!
What's on my station?
1. Reading/Viewing Material: Whether it's a good book 📚 or my tablet showing my favorite anime, having an interesting distraction keeps me hooked and comfortable. These two help to make the bath seem more desirable.
2. Stimulating Snacks: Snacks aren't just for eating—they are a tool! They keep my brain occupied and stop me from getting out to look for food. 😋
3. Sensory Input: Bath salts, bubbles, and a warm bath provide that crucial sensory regulation.
Different people will have different tools, but the goal is to make the bath a place you want to be.
