Still Worth The Reminisce

When I was younger, I thought nostalgia was weakness.

A refusal to move forward.

A way of getting stuck.

But the older I get, the more I think memory serves a different purpose.

Not to trap us in the past.

To remind us what mattered.

The bike leaning against the fence.

The records we wore thin.

The books that shaped us.

The ideas we inherited.

The world we were lucky enough to witness.

Not everything survives.

Not every relationship.

Not every dream.

Not every version of ourselves.

But some moments remain valuable long after they're gone.

Still worth the reminisce.

A line from my song "The Gist."

... Read moreReflecting on nostalgia from my own experience, I’ve come to realize that it’s not about being stuck in the past but finding strength and meaning from it. Growing up, I often viewed longing for ‘the good old days’ as unproductive, but over time, it feels more like a guidepost reminding me of values and moments that shaped who I am. For example, the scent of an old book or the sound of a worn record can instantly transport me to a different time and place, evoking feelings of comfort and identity. These sensory memories preserve experiences that modern life’s pace sometimes threatens to erase. Nostalgia also encourages gratitude—for relationships, passions, and dreams—even if they didn’t last forever. It’s about honoring the past versions of ourselves and the ideals we once embraced, which continue to influence our present choices. Sometimes, revisiting old music or poetry helps me reconnect with emotions and creativity that can inspire new paths forward. In a way, nostalgia keeps the essence of our personal histories alive, blending memory and emotion into a source of resilience. This reminds me of the phrase from the song mentioned, “Still Worth The Reminisce,” emphasizing that despite change and loss, some moments maintain their value indefinitely. By embracing nostalgia as a positive force, we allow ourselves to carry the most meaningful parts of our stories into the future, enriching our lives with depth and perspective rather than holding us back.

Entrepreneurship is a process worth fighting for!
I remember back in 2016 when I started my first business in my college dorm. Thats was back when having your own business wasn’t that popular. I found a love for business in my senior year of high school. Prior to that I always told myself “I don’t see why people like business, it sooo boring.”

why you should scrapbook 📔🎞️📦
scrapbooking is more beneficial than you may think. it’s one of my favorite hobbies because i can get very overwhelmed being in my mind. it’s a way to relieve my stress while still keeping my brain functioning. i love looking back at old memories and how i creatively displayed them inside my book.

Embrace Your Worth: You're Enough
Sis, let me remind you today… You are already enough. You don’t need anyone’s approval to shine, and you don’t need a relationship to validate your worth. Whether you’re on a solo journey or sharing life with someone, your value is constant. Don’t let anyone (including you!) convince you otherwise.
