From a small Christmas goal to a complete system

At the beginning, we kept our expectations very low.

Our first thought was simple:

if we could make around £200, it would be nice to spend it at Christmas.

When we reached that amount, we adjusted the goal to £500.

Then we reached that too.

So we set a new goal:

£1,000 by the end of the year.

And once again, we passed it.

None of this was planned as a business.

There was no strategy or big vision at the start.

It was simply consistent decluttering and selling unused items, step by step.

On January 1st, I stopped and looked at the bigger picture.

I realised this works very well as extra income — not as a second job.

Many people have items at home that:

• have been unused for months or years

• are in perfect condition

• were never even opened

• or no longer fit their style

I also took the time to understand the practical side, including tax rules.

Selling your own personal items is tax-free within certain limits, and while platforms may request information after a certain number of sales, this does not automatically create tax to pay.

That clarity made the whole process feel safe and realistic.

That’s when I decided to take the next step.

I chose to turn this entire experience into a structured course.

Not to promise results, but to clearly show the exact system I followed —

the same process that helped us sell around £1,200 worth of unused items over two months.
