Trip to Vermont ❤️
Hey fellow adventurers! I just returned from an absolutely unforgettable trip to Vermont, and I couldn't wait to share my personal tourism guide, especially focusing on the stunning Northeast Kingdom. If you're dreaming of picturesque landscapes, charming small towns, and genuine New England hospitality, this is your sign to visit! From the moment I crossed into the Northeast Kingdom, I was mesmerized. The rolling hills, dense forests, and crystal-clear lakes truly make it a hidden gem. Getting there was part of the fun; I found driving through the scenic routes was the best way to soak in the beauty. Seriously, every turn offered a new postcard-perfect view, especially if you're lucky enough to visit during the fall foliage season – it's an explosion of reds, oranges, and golds! One of my absolute favorite parts was exploring the quaint towns. St. Johnsbury, for instance, offered a delightful mix of history and art, with its beautiful architecture and the unique Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium. I also spent a lovely afternoon in Burke, which is a fantastic base if you're into outdoor activities. The Kingdom Trails here are world-renowned for mountain biking, and even if you're not a biker, there are plenty of hiking trails with incredible vistas. I loved a particular short hike that led to a breathtaking overlook of Lake Willoughby – a must-see! Speaking of Lake Willoughby, its fjord-like appearance and pristine waters are just stunning. I spent an entire morning just relaxing by the shore, taking in the serene beauty. It felt like stepping into a different world. If you're feeling adventurous, you can even rent a kayak or paddleboard. And let's talk about the food! Vermont is famous for its maple syrup, and you absolutely have to try some local delights. I stopped at a few roadside stands and found the freshest maple products. There are also some fantastic farm-to-table restaurants and craft breweries scattered throughout the region. I particularly enjoyed a cozy little cafe in a small town where I had the most delicious homemade pie – pure comfort food! For accommodation, I opted for a charming local B&B, which added so much to the authentic Vermont experience. There are also plenty of cabins and vacation rentals if you prefer a more private stay. Whatever your style, you'll find a welcoming place to rest after a day of exploring. I visited in early autumn, which was magical, but honestly, Vermont's Northeast Kingdom offers something special in every season. Winter brings amazing skiing and snowboarding opportunities, spring is beautiful with melting snow and emerging greenery, and summer is perfect for lake activities and hiking. Overall, my trip to the Northeast Kingdom was everything I hoped for and more. It's a place where you can truly disconnect, embrace nature, and enjoy the simple pleasures of life. If you're looking for a peaceful yet adventurous escape, put Vermont's Northeast Kingdom at the top of your travel list. You won't regret it!
