私が作ってみて「ここで失敗しやすい！」と思ったポイントをまとめます。シュガードームは材料が砂糖と水だけだからこそ、温度とタイミングで仕上がりが変わりました。 まずレンチン後の色。600Wで1分30秒は目安で、飴色（うすい茶色）までいくのがコツ。透明のままだと固まりにくく、膨らませたあとにベタつきやすかったです。逆に濃すぎると苦みが出たり、固まるのが早すぎて成形前にカチカチになりがち。取り出した直後は泡が立って熱いので、少し落ち着いて“はちみつのとろみ”になってから次へ進むと扱いやすいです。 ラップは必ず耐熱（150℃までOKのもの）を二重でピタッと張るのが安心。シワが多いとドーム表面がデコボコになりやすいので、ボウルに引っ張りながら貼るときれいに仕上がります。飴をのせたら、セルクル（なければ底が平らなコップでも）で真下にグッと押し込む感じ。斜めに力が入ると片側だけ薄くなって割れやすいので、両手で真上から均等に押すのがおすすめです。 「ぷく〜って膨らむ瞬間」が一番楽しいところなんだけど、薄くしすぎると破れやすいので、最初は少し厚めに作ると成功率が上がりました。固める時間は2分が目安だけど、部屋が暖かい日は少し長めに置くと安定します。 仕上げのデコは、ミニカップケーキ＋生クリーム＋いちごが鉄板。ドームをかぶせる直前にクリームを絞ると、水分でドームが溶けにくいです。飾りはツリーやサンタのピック、アラザン、粉糖で雪っぽくするだけでも一気にクリスマス感が出ました。 作ってすぐが一番きれいなので、写真を撮るなら完成直後がベスト。もしプレゼントや持ち運びを考えるなら、湿気で溶けやすいので、乾燥剤を入れた容器に入れて短時間で渡すのが安心でした。
