Another important factor is pacing. I noticed improvement by focusing on steady splits, aiming to gradually reduce my average mile pace over time. For example, my runs around 3.1 miles varied between 12:52 and 12:32 minutes per mile, which indicated progress and helped me stay motivated. Additionally, scheduling runs on consistent days helps build a habit. Whether it’s April 1st or early May, setting specific goals with dates keeps you accountable. Running in a location like Port St. Lucie provided a pleasant environment, making outdoor sessions enjoyable. Incorporating a mix of shorter and longer runs also prevented burnout and improved stamina. Overall, embracing consistency, tracking your progress, pacing smartly, and alternating indoor and outdoor sessions can lead to rewarding achievements on your running journey.
