My tip for you is: for a soft, blended pastel sky, you typically don't outline the sky itself. Instead, as seen in the steps, you might use very faint pencil outlines for individual elements like fluffy clouds to guide your painting, especially if you want distinct shapes. Make sure these lines are barely visible, or they'll show through your delicate pastel washes. I usually keep my outlines super light, just enough to give me a starting point on my brown paper.
