Serengeti Flyer at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, FL - World's Tallest & Fastest Swing Ride! #TheSoFloDuo #SoFloGem #SoFlo #BuschGardensTampa #TampaBay #florida #serengetiflyer #rollercoaster #fastest #tallest
Oh my gosh, you guys, I HAVE to talk about the Serengeti Flyer at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay! If you're anything like me, you grew up loving swings, but this ride takes that childhood joy to a completely different level. Seriously, when they say it's the Tallest and Fastest Swing Ride in the world, they are NOT kidding. Before I even got on, I was a mix of nervous excitement. Standing there, watching those giant arms swing passengers 135 ft in the air, reaching speeds of 68 mph, my stomach was already doing flips! But, you know what? That's exactly what I look for in a thrill ride. I remember thinking, "This is either going to be amazing or I'm going to regret every decision I've ever made!" Turns out, it was the former... mostly! The moment you're strapped in, the anticipation builds. The ride starts gently, giving you a false sense of security, and then BAM! You're soaring higher and higher, feeling the wind whip through your hair. The views from the top are absolutely breathtaking. You can see the entire park, the Serengeti Plains filled with animals below, and the Tampa Bay skyline in the distance. It's truly an awesome experience, unlike any other swing ride I've ever been on. Okay, full disclosure: I almost passed out on this ride the first time. The sheer height and speed combined with the swinging motion were intense! My heart was pounding, and I was laughing and screaming all at once. But you know what? As soon as my feet were back on solid ground, I wanted to go again! And we did! We went on it multiple times because it's actually really fun once you get past that initial shock. It quickly became my favorite ride at Busch Gardens. For anyone planning to visit Busch Gardens Tampa, I highly recommend the Serengeti Flyer. Here are a few tips from my experience: Try to ride it earlier in the day to avoid longer lines, or later in the evening for a spectacular sunset view. Make sure any loose items are secured or left with a non-rider, because that 68 mph wind is no joke! Also, maybe don't eat a super heavy meal right before you hop on – your stomach will thank you. If you're a bit scared of heights, try looking out at the horizon rather than straight down. It really helps! This ride is a total adrenaline rush and a must-do for any thrill-seeker visiting Florida. You won't regret it!
