Devil’s Den located in Williston, Florida

Okay, so I just had one of the most incredible Florida experiences, and I HAVE to tell you about Devil's Den in Williston, FL! If you're looking for an adventure that feels truly out of this world, this hidden gem is an absolute must-experience. First off, let's talk location. It's nestled in Williston, Florida, which for us coming from South Florida, was about a 4-hour drive – totally worth it! You might be wondering, 'where is the privately owned and operated recreational facility Devil's Den cave located?' Well, it's pretty easy to find once you're in Williston. It’s an ancient prehistoric spring, unlike any other Florida spring I've visited. Think of it as Florida's own cenote, but with a unique cave structure that just takes your breath away. The moment you descend into the cave, you're hit with this otherworldly view. The water is crystal clear, and get this – it's a consistent 72 degrees water temperature all year round! Perfect for a refreshing dip no matter the season. We went snorkeling, and it was amazing. You can literally dive in it and spot so much marine life. We saw turtles, multiple types of fish, even koi fish, and yes, we also saw bats hanging out further up in the cave! It really makes for fantastic Devil's Den photos. Now, for the practical stuff. You must reserve a spot in advance. Seriously, this isn't a place you can just show up to, especially if you're planning to visit during the summer months. It gets really busy! The Devil's Den price is pretty reasonable at $25 per person for snorkeling. If you don't have your own gear, don't worry, you can rent snorkels for an additional $15. They are mandatory, so don't forget them! My biggest tip, and I can't stress this enough, is to go early in the morning. We were among the first ones there, and we had the spring almost all to ourselves for a good while. It's such a peaceful and magical experience when it's quiet. Later in the day, it fills up quickly, making it a bit harder to fully enjoy the tranquility. Overall, my Devil's Den review is a definite five stars! It's one of the coolest experiences Florida has to offer. Whether you're into Florida springs diving or just want to float in unbelievably clear water, you need to add this to your travel list.
