From Frame Generation to Neural Rendering
NVIDIA is moving on to a new idea called Neural Rendering, or 100% AI-based in-game visualization, that we're familiar with the Frame Generation, which just adds frames, and there are people who like it and don't like it. But around now, the company is looking beyond that, and it wants every pixel on the screen to be created with AI.
.
In fact, Jensen Huang, CEO of NVIDIA, has been talking about this for over 2 years. Almost every frame on the screen was created by AI. There were only a few real frames left, but the technology wasn't ready and the images weren't pretty enough to play the game. Currently, a small project like RTX Neural Face has been shown. This idea is not made to increase FPS to make the game slippery, but more focused on energy saving, especially on notebooks, because AI can help create frames, reduce GPU load, and potentially reduce energy consumption by almost half.
.
NVIDIA says that cards like the RTX 5090 and RTX PRO 6000 are ready for this technology, but even then, many people see it as too early. Than the full-scale Neural Rendering is practical, it will have to wait a lot more generations. In the meantime, players may want to see something more tangible like a smarter NPC through NVIDIA ACE technology, which is still in the development stage.
