It's the sixth time this year. Don't have the seventh.🚨
Google released an emergency update to plug this year's sixth Zero-Day vulnerability that is being exploited in cyberspace. This vulnerability has the code CVE-2025-10585, classified as high-level violence. If successfully penetrated, hackers can execute malicious code on the victim's machine immediately.
.
CVE-2025-10585 was discovered by Google's Threat Analysis Group (TAG) team on Sep 16, 2025. Violence by CVSS v3 standards was 9.8/10 points (Critical).
.
This is due to the Type Confusion problem in the V8 engine (used to manage JavaScript and WebAssembly) that opens the way for non-hopefuls to attack through specifically designed pages.
.
Google has released revised patches in the latest versions, including:
- Windows / macOS: 140.0.7339 185 or .186
- Linux: 140.0.7339 185
.
Anyone who has not updated Chrome recommends to rush to chrome: / / settings / help and wait for the system to download the automatic patch. Then press Restart and continue to use safely.
.
The update also includes three other serious vulnerability fixes, while no reports have been reported to have been compromised, but it helps to close the risk along the way. Google also temporarily keeps technical details to prevent hackers from using more attacks.
