Russia successfully passed the sanctions, and the Chinese media recently reported that Russia developed its first "self-made CPU" under the name Irtysh after years of cutting off technology from the West.

At the heart of this success was the selection of a Chinese chip architecture called Loongson, a technology that China developed, not copyrighted by the United States, not subject to sanctions, and also free to use, allowing Russia to continue developing chips without relying on traditional x86 or Arm.

The Irtysh chip was developed by the Russian company Tramplin Electronics. It uses the same architecture as the new Loongson model. It ranges from 16, 32 to 64 Core, speeds of up to 2 GHz, targeted first in the server market, then expanding to conventional computers, and reached a future export planning stage, with the first year expected to produce around 30,000.

The interesting point is that of China's self-made chips, only two of them, Loongson and Shenwei, are actually self-developed architectures, not renting or buying copyrights from the West, making them a key choice of countries that want technological independence.

This clearly reflects that the world is entering an age where "who controls technology, who has the advantage," and computer chips are no longer just IT devices, but strategic weapons in future global politics.
