NVIDIA officially launched DLSS 4.5 at CES 2026, with an upgrade of AI technology for image rendering and adding framerates a step further. This round focuses not only on pushing FPS higher, but clearly places more emphasis on image quality, stillness and realism.

At the core of DLSS 4.5 is the enhancement of the Super Resolution system with the 2nd generation Transformer Model, trained with larger and more complex data sets, allowing AI to understand image and motion details more accurately.

The result is that the in-game images are higher in contrast, reducing the tremor and ghosting symptoms that often occur in fast-moving scenes. The object edges and Anti-Aliasing system look sharper and closer to native images than before.

The feature supports all GeForce RTX screen cards, from the RTX 20 to the RTX 50, and is instantly available through the latest NVIDIA App update now, supporting over 400 games from day one.

On the fluidity side, NVIDIA has taken the Multi Frame Generation a step further with its new 6X Multi Frame Generation mode, which can create up to 5 auxiliary frames per actual rendering frame, resulting in up to 6 times more rated frames suitable for AAA-level gaming on high-definition or 240Hz-360Hz Refresh Rate displays, but the feature will only support GeForce RTX 50 Series screen cards.

There is also a Dynamic Multi Frame Generation that can automatically adjust frame generation to suit in-game situations and screen Refresh Rate values. The system automatically adjusts Frame Gen levels from 1x to 6x, maintaining a balance between fluidity and aesthetics. All features are set to activate in early 2026.
