Buck is not spared at all. Avoid this update first.
Microsoft's latest Patch Tuesday update for Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server continues to trouble users. After previously reports of problems with Remote Desktop, Hibernating, and shutdown, including the latest Outlook, Microsoft has admitted to finding more new bugs.
.
Microsoft stated through its Windows Release Health page that the problem occurred with apps that had to read or save files through Cloud Storage services such as OneDrive or Dropbox, with the app either showing unexpected errors, or stalling until the program had to be forced off.
.
One of the obvious affected cases is Outlook, especially users who store PST files on OneDrive, which can cause the program to freeze, not reopen, or be unable to display emails in Inbox and Sent normally.
.
This bug has a broad impact, covering Windows 11 from versions 23H2 to 25H2, Windows 10 version 22H2, as well as several versions of Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC and Windows Server. Microsoft is currently in the process of developing a patch fix, recommending that organizations requiring urgent solutions contact Microsoft Support for Business directly.
.
Meanwhile, the KB5074109 update for Windows 11 was found to create additional problems. Some users reported that graphics programs such as BforArtists froze the entire system as soon as certain functions were used, while another user found that payroll apps and remote programs shut down themselves immediately after logging in and could not uninstall the update even through Safe Mode.
.
Given all the circumstances, Microsoft's Patch Tuesday update is clearly affecting both the general user and the business sector, and it will have to keep an eye on how quickly Microsoft will be able to fix these issues in the next round of updates.
