After Microsoft released the February 2026 security update for Windows 11, the KB5077181 number, which comes with over 58 vulnerability plugs, includes an update to the Secure Boot certificate to upgrade security at the hardware level.

It also features improvements in AI Copilot + performance, increases display stability of the screen card driver, and fixes Wi-Fi connectivity issues by supporting both Windows 11 versions 24H2 and 25H2.

Most recently, it has been reported by some users that after installing such an update, the boot loop or continuous loop restart machine failed to enter the login screen as usual. In some cases, there was a System Event Notification Service (SENS) error message that resulted in the system failing to complete its operation.

In addition, error codes have been found during installation, such as 0x800f0983 and 0x800f0991, while some have experienced network problems with DHCP error notifications or are unable to receive IP Address even with Wi-Fi connection. This results in the inability to use the Internet normally.

Microsoft has not yet released an official patch, making the initial approach recommended by a number of users to uninstall the KB5077181 update first and press Pause Updates temporarily to prevent the system from reinstalling the update until further revisions are released.
